AI agents for every part of your business. Check out Symphony by Wix →

AI agents are getting better at doing things for you, but paying for something is still harder to hand over to them.
An agent might find the right product, compare options and get all the way to checkout, only to stop when it needs a payment method. That changes when the agent can use an approved payment method without getting access to your underlying card details.
Symphony by Wix is partnering with Stripe to bring this capability to agentic commerce. Using Link, Symphony can request approval for a purchase and, once approved, use a single-use payment credential to complete that transaction.
The result is a new way for business owners to delegate purchases to an AI agent without handing the agent their card information.
TL;DR: how Symphony by Wix and Link enable agentic payments
Symphony is an AI agent platform that coordinates specialized agents to help independent business owners run their businesses. The Link integration adds another capability: approved purchases.
Symphony's agents already understand your business well enough to know what's actually worth buying. Link's wallet for agents is what let us finally hand that judgment a real transaction, instead of just a recommendation you still had to go execute yourself. — Arava Refael, Product Manager, Symphony
Step | What happens |
1. Connect once | Connect your Link wallet to Symphony. |
2. Ask Symphony to buy | Tell the agent what you need and let it find the right option. |
3. Review the purchase | Symphony shows you the merchant, purchase and exact checkout amount. |
4. Approve in Link | Approve the spend from Link. |
5. One purchase, one credential | Link provides a single-use payment credential for the approved transaction. |
6. No repeated charges | Before retrying a payment, Symphony checks with Link to see if the purchase has already been paid. |
This is one example of agentic commerce via Stripe, where AI agents can move beyond generating information and into completing real business tasks on behalf of users.
Symphony by Wix gives your business a coordinated team of AI agents, built around your goals and now able to pay for what they recommend. Connect a Link wallet once and start handing off the work that used to sit in your inbox.
How Symphony by Wix and Link work together
Symphony is built around a single orchestrator that coordinates specialized agents across different areas of a business. Instead of choosing which agent should handle a task, you describe what you want to accomplish and Symphony determines what needs to happen next.
Consumer interest in AI-led purchases is growing. McKinsey's 2025 Digital Payments Survey found that 20% of consumers would be comfortable asking AI to make a purchase on their behalf.
Symphony now uses Link wallet to let its AI agents complete real purchases on your behalf, from registration fees to restocking orders. You approve the exact total in the Link app, a single-use card handles the charge and nothing gets paid twice. Here's how the partnership works:
01. Connect your Link wallet
You first connect your Link wallet to Symphony.
This gives Symphony a way to request payment authorization when it needs to make an approved purchase. The agent does not receive your underlying card information.
Link's wallet for agents is designed so an agent can request a one-time-use card or Shared Payment Token backed by a customer's saved payment method.

02. Tell Symphony what you need
You can give Symphony a purchasing task in natural language.
For example: "Order two pairs of the trail shoes I looked at, size 10."
Symphony can then work through the task, rather than simply telling you where to buy the shoes.
This distinction matters. An AI agent isn't just answering a question or generating a recommendation. It is working toward an outcome.
That same model is what makes Symphony useful across other parts of a business. Its agents can coordinate work across marketing, outreach, scheduling, research, finance and design, with the orchestrator handling the routing between them.

03. Symphony confirms the purchase
Before the transaction happens, Symphony tells you what it plans to buy, where it will buy it and how much the checkout costs.
The important detail is the exact checkout total.
If the amount changes, a new approval is required. A new purchase also requires a new approval.
That creates a clear boundary between asking an agent to shop and giving it permission to spend.
04. Approve the purchase in Link
You review the request and approve it through Link.
The approval can happen from the Link app, including from a mobile device. The current experience with Link's wallet for agents requires the person to review each spend request before the payment credential is shared with the agent.
Once you approve, the agent receives the payment credential needed for that transaction.
05. Symphony completes the purchase
After approval, Symphony completes the checkout.
The payment credential is limited to the approved transaction rather than giving the agent access to your underlying payment method.
Link's wallet for agents can issue a one-time-use card for an approved purchase, while the agent never gets access to the user's raw payment credentials.
And there is another safeguard built into the flow: before retrying a payment, Symphony checks with Link to determine whether the purchase has already been paid.
That matters because duplicate payments are a different problem from failed payments. An agent shouldn't simply try again because it isn't immediately sure whether the first transaction went through.
What Symphony by Wix's agents can actually do with money now
Symphony by Wix is an AI agent platform built for independent business owners. It coordinates specialized agents that can research, plan and carry out tasks across different parts of a business. With the Link integration, those agents can now move beyond recommending a purchase and help complete it after the owner approves the payment.
For a solo business owner, that can make a difference in the small tasks that pile up during the day. Renewing a license, reordering supplies or paying an application fee might not require much decision-making, but each task still takes time. Adding payments to an AI workflow helps connect the steps, from identifying what needs to be done to completing an approved purchase.
“People start businesses to solve problems and serve customers. Routine tasks like ordering supplies and paying bills take valuable time away from that work,” said Jay Shah, business lead for Link at Stripe. “With Link’s wallet for agents, Symphony can handle more of those tasks, giving business owners more time to focus on what matters most to them."
The same idea applies to other business processes to automate with Wix Symphony, where agents can coordinate work instead of stopping at a recommendation. And while agent-initiated purchases are one use case, businesses can also explore ways to accept payments from their own customers through payment solutions that fit their needs.

Five jobs Symphony by Wix and Link can already take on

Each of these runs through the same approval flow described above, part of a broader shift across AI agents for small business taking on real operational work, not just advice.
Launcher: Pays the fees to register your business, so a new venture doesn't stall at a licensing form.
Store Operator: Reorders stock before it runs out, keeping a shelf from ever going empty.
Bookkeeper: Pays invoices straight from your inbox, closing the gap between receiving a bill and paying it.
Opportunity Hunter: Pays entry fees for grants and fairs, so a deadline never quietly passes by.
Concierge: Sends a gift to an unhappy customer, turning a complaint into a save before it becomes a review.
If you're still earlier in adopting agents generally, it's worth reading how to prepare your small business for AI agents before handing off something as sensitive as payments.
How this fits with your existing Stripe setup
If you already run payments through Stripe on a Wix site or elsewhere, Symphony's use of Link doesn't change that setup, it sits alongside it as the layer that lets an agent transact on your behalf. The two aren't competing for the same job: Stripe processes payments, Symphony decides when and what to pay for.
If you're still weighing Wix against Stripe more broadly, for running your site and checkout rather than agent payments specifically, that's worth its own side-by-side comparison. You can also check current plans on the Symphony pricing page.
Why owners can trust it
Four guardrails sit underneath every agent purchase. Link asks for the real checkout total at the real shop, so the AI has no way to fake a lower number to get something approved. A new total or a new shop always requires a new yes, closing off the obvious way an agent could quietly upsell itself.
The card itself is generated by code and never logged or seen by the AI, so there's no card number sitting anywhere for a model to leak or misuse, the same data-safety question that comes up anywhere AI agents handle customer data. Before any retry, Symphony checks with Link on whether the purchase already went through, which is what keeps a stalled or repeated request from turning into a duplicate charge.
If something doesn't fit this flow, Symphony falls back to paying the old way, through a remote browser session you can watch. Nothing about adopting agentic payments requires giving up the option to just do it yourself.

What's next for Symphony by Wix and Stripe?
The current version of Link's wallet for agents asks for a yes on every single purchase, which is deliberate and matches how cautiously agentic payments should start. Stripe's roadmap for agentic commerce points toward something broader: approving a budget once instead of approving every purchase inside it.
Under that model, an agent could keep buying and paying against a set budget on its own until that budget runs out, with the limit itself living inside Link rather than inside the AI. That's an important distinction: the spending cap stays enforced by the payment infrastructure, not by trusting the model to stop on its own.
For a business owner, that's the difference between approving a stock reorder every week and approving a monthly restocking budget once, then letting Store Operator handle the rest.

How does Symphony by Wix work with Link by Stripe?
Symphony by Wix is an AI agent platform that uses Link to facilitate approved purchases. The user connects their Link wallet, asks Symphony to make a purchase and reviews the exact transaction before approving it. After approval, Stripe provides the payment credential needed for the transaction without exposing the user's underlying payment credentials to the agent.
Can an AI agent access my credit card number?
Not through the Link agent wallet flow described by Stripe. The agent receives a one-time-use card or Shared Payment Token rather than the user's underlying payment credentials.
Does Symphony by Wix make purchases without approval?
No. The Link purchasing flow shown here requires the user to approve the spend request in Link before the payment credential is provided to the agent. Symphony by Wix is an AI agent platform whose broader agent model also includes an approval layer for actions that require owner sign-off.
What happens if the checkout total changes?
The purchase is tied to the approved amount. A new total requires a new approval rather than allowing the agent to continue with a different amount.
Can Symphony by Wix pay for business expenses?
Symphony by Wix is an AI agent platform that can complete approved purchases as part of a business workflow, including business expenses. The specific transactions available depend on the current Symphony and Stripe rollout.
What types of agents does Symphony by Wix have?
Symphony by Wix is an agent platform that coordinates three types of agents: built-in agents for core business functions, custom agents configured around specific business rules and external agents from third-party providers, through a single orchestrator and conversation.
