Animation and illustration portfolio website

Inbal Ochyon is a Tel Aviv-based freelance animator, illustrator and concept artist. Her portfolio keeps things simple with two main pages, making it easy to explore her work and learn more about her background.

The homepage opens with an embedded animation showreel, followed by a gallery of illustrations and animation stills. Small personal touches, including a hand-drawn looping stork, give the site warmth without distracting from the artwork.

The site uses a clean, light layout that lets Inbal's colorful artwork become the focal point. A featured Vimeo showreel introduces her work, followed by a grid of illustration and animation stills.

Minimal navigation, generous spacing and playful illustrated details keep the experience approachable. The small animated stork and handwritten greeting add personality while reinforcing the handcrafted feel of the portfolio.

The artist behind the work

Inbal Ochyon earned a BFA from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Her graduation film, In Her Footsteps, has been screened at film festivals, reflecting her interest in visual storytelling through animation.

After working as a concept artist and animator at Tross Creative House, she moved into freelance work, creating visual development, illustration and animation for commercial and independent projects.

Who this website is a good example for

  • Concept artists and illustrators. A simple gallery layout puts the artwork first and makes it easy to browse different styles and projects.

  • Animators building a portfolio. Combining a showreel with still images lets visitors appreciate both motion and illustration skills.

  • Freelance creatives. A focused website with only the essentials helps potential clients find your work quickly.

Ideas to borrow for your own site

  • Add a signature animation. A small looping illustration gives visitors a memorable first impression.

  • Lead with your showreel. Put your strongest motion work at the top so visitors immediately see your skills.

  • Keep navigation simple. A small menu keeps attention on the portfolio instead of the interface.

  • Add personality. A friendly introduction and playful illustrations make the portfolio feel more personal without overwhelming the work.
