Event catering website design example

Catered to You is a Sacramento catering company that works across weddings, corporate lunches and galas. Its homepage opens with proof rather than promises, setting a Google rating badge right against the hero imagery.

Two black bands, one at the top and one at the bottom, frame a bright white page. The food photography does the rest, and the nav stays short: Specials, ezOrder Now, Pricing, Menu, About Us and Contact.

The page is mostly white, bracketed by black header and footer bands, with body text in a near-black charcoal. Soft lilac and a deeper purple appear in the script wordmark and small accents, which stops the black from reading as severe.

Raleway handles every heading and paragraph, varying by size and weight instead of bringing in a second face. The hero is a three-image collage: charcuterie boards on both sides, a server pouring at a candlelit table in the middle.

The catering team behind the website

Catered to You was formed by chefs, waitstaff, bartenders and event specialists who came together around a shared standard for food and hospitality. They work as an in-house caterer for local venues and hold government and corporate contracts.

The About page names real clients rather than reaching for generic praise, from local venues to national brands. The menus stretch from barbecue and Mexican to American formal and Mediterranean, which is the other way this site shows range.

Who this website is a good example for

  • Caterers with a real client list. Naming the companies you have actually worked with does more than another testimonial slider. This site puts that list on the About page, where someone comparing caterers will look for it.

  • Food businesses selling on photography. If the product looks good, give it the screen. The collage here runs three images at once rather than betting everything on a single hero shot.

  • Anyone using an outside ordering tool. The nav sends people to ezCater for online orders and does not disguise it. Linking to the tool you already use beats building a weaker version inside your site.

Catering website design ideas

  • Frame the page with color bands. Black strips at the top and bottom give a white page structure without drawing boxes or rules around content. It is a small move that makes a simple layout look deliberate.

  • Put your rating next to the hero. A review badge sitting with the hero imagery answers the trust question before anyone scrolls. It works harder there than on a testimonials page most visitors never open.

  • Build a collage instead of one hero shot. Three photos side by side show range, which matters more for a caterer than one perfect plate. Range is the thing clients are actually shopping for.

  • Keep one typeface and vary the scale. Raleway carries the whole site here. Size and weight give you all the contrast you need, and the page stays calm because of it.
