Wix Users Lead the Way in Creativity and Style

Global Contest Recognizes 100 Million Wix Users and Their Stunning Websites

Wix is proud to announce the three winners of its first-ever Stunning Awards competition. Approximately 100,000 Wix websites worldwide were submitted for a chance to win one of three once-in-a-lifetime, stunning experiences.

"Every single day we have the extraordinary pleasure of looking at Wix sites from all over the world. For me, it is one of the greatest rewards of my role. We never cease to be amazed by what our users are creating," said Omer Shai, CMO of Wix. "In everything we do, we look for ways to showcase the unique talents of our users and the Stunning Awards give us the chance to thank our 100 million users and celebrate their creativity. We are thrilled, but not surprised, by both the quality and quantity of submissions for the Stunning Awards. Congratulations to all of the finalists and the three winners of the Stunning Awards. They should be very proud of their accomplishment."

There were approximately 100,000 website submissions, in ten languages, worldwide for the Stunning Awards. From that pool, finalists were selected by a panel of Wix design experts who evaluated each submission based on its structure, design and layout, originality and creativity. Finalists' websites are on display in the Stunning Awards Collection, for all to see, and each finalist has been awarded a finalist badge to display on their website.

The three Stunning sites that were selected as the winners are:

Winner: Emilie De Grosbois (also known as MILDD), who submitted mildd.com, is a Montreal-based visual artist focusing on hand-drawn illustrations. She has been a part of the Wix community for five years. De Grosbois said about Wix, "I love the flexibility and accessibility of the platform! The customization tools are endless and incredibly intuitive."

Winner: Dennis Krawec, who submitted krawec.org, is a junior at the Rhode Island School of Design who built his Wix site as his portfolio grew and is currently on the hunt for an internship. He said about Wix, "I like my website to serve as a hub/repository for all of my work and projects (current or past) and I think Wix lends itself to that kind of visual experience."

Winner: Zvina Luke, who submitted zvinaluke.com, is a student at Billy Blue College of Design in Australia. She was inspired to join Wix several years ago when a lecturer mentioned the platform as a way to get online and experiment with design. Luke said about Wix, "I wanted something different and wanted to create my site from scratch. Wix's functionality has given me a lot of creative freedom to achieve that."
