As the school year takes off, Wix is one step ahead of the game with a Back To School promotion packed with user discounts and a beautiful new batch of free website content. A platform for the easy creation of customized Flash websites, Wix is a must-have for anyone interested in making a website without forking over a hefty pile of cash to a web designer, or committing time in learning how to code.
The new kid-themed templates are perfect for care providers, toy store owners, teachers, playgroups and volunteer mentorship programs. Packed with bright and colorful photos of classroom activities and smiling children playing with toys, the templates include cute new animations, like flowers bursting out of their pots, dancing dinosaurs and blowing bubbles. Replacing any of the content in a template can be done in a few easy clicks, letting users add their own logos, contact information, photos, text and links.
Wix is free – including the platform with which to build a free website, and a library of Flash web design including fun icons, buttons, images, photo galleries and more. A slew of widgets like contact forms, Google maps and Google calendars can be added to heighten a site’s usability.
Users who wish to receive additional features like domain ownership have the option of upgrading to a premium package, with either monthly or yearly billing cycles. All Wix users were notified by e-mail last week about the new content available, and were provided with discount coupons for premium upgrades.
