In this video, we're going to show you how to customize your shipping, delivery, and pickup options.
We'll cover how to create regions and set up shipping, local delivery and pickup rates.
To get started, go to the settings page in the Wix dashboard.
Then go to shipping, delivery, and fulfillment.
When you get to this page, you'll already have two regions set up, domestic and international.
The domestic region is based on your location.
Both regions offer free shipping by default.
You can choose to change the settings for these regions or create a new region based on your business's needs.
In the first part of the video, we'll show you how to customize your default regions.
You can edit the destinations in this region by clicking on edit destinations.
Then change the name of this region and either remove the current destination or add additional ones.
If your destination has subdivisions like the United States, you can also choose which ones to include or exclude by clicking on edit.
And then choose the specific subdivisions.
To make changes to the rate, click edit next to your free shipping rate.
Choose how you want to calculate your rates.
You can offer a flat rate, a rate by weight, price, or quantity.
For this example, we'll set up rate by quantity.
Give your rate a name that customers will see at checkout.
You can also add an estimated delivery time and customize rates based on how many items your customer is buying.
If you want to offer free shipping when a customer buys more than a certain amount, select this checkbox.
Now at checkout, when a customer buys more than 4 items, they'll be charged $15 for shipping.
Now let's add a region from scratch.
Click on create region.
Then give it a name and add destinations.
Regions can include more than one destination.
Then choose which type of rate you want to add.
The different rate options are shipping, local delivery, and pickup.
If you're located in the US you can also offer real-time rates using the calculated by USPS option.
Let's add a local delivery rate.
This option is usually used for next day deliveries in local areas.
Select local delivery.
Then choose how you want to calculate your rate.
For this example, let's choose flat rate.
Name your rate as you want it to appear to your customers at checkout.
Then, define the area you want to offer this rate in.
To set the area by zip codes, you can add a list of zip codes that you'd like to cover, or to cover a range of zip codes, type the first three digits of a specific area and add an asterisk.
And lastly, to set an area by drawing on a map, add an address, and drag the lines to define the area where you'd like to offer delivery.
Once you define the area, the next step is setting up the delivery time.
You can either set an estimated delivery time or add time slots for your customers to choose from.
The final step is to decide on your delivery time frame.
Same day, next day, or a minimum of 2 days.
You can also choose to set a cutoff time for same day deliveries, meaning customers must place their order by that time to get it delivered on that day.
Now, when a customer who's located within the local delivery area, orders before 1 p.m. can get same day delivery.
For this region, we also want to offer pickup.
So let's set up pickup.
Click on ad rate.
And then choose pick up.
To set up pickup, first name it as you want it to appear to your customers at checkout, then add the pickup address.
You can also add an estimate of when the order will be ready.
And finally, write some pickup instructions for your customers.
And click add.
Now customers will be able to choose to pick up their order, and once they do, they'll get the pickup address and your instructions at checkout.
To manage your regions, go to the actions menu.
You can delete the region, deactivate it, or add a handling fee.
Congratulations.
Now you know how to set up shipping, delivery, and pickup rates.
After you finish setting up your rates, we recommend reviewing how they look at checkout.
Thank you for watching.
