Since 19 June 2026, Article 11a of the EU Consumer Rights Directive requires a withdrawal function on shops selling to EU consumers: the Widerrufsbutton, §356a BGB in Germany, §13a FAGG in Austria from 1 October 2026. Cooloff adds it: a labelled button in the visitor's language, a short form, and an acknowledgement of receipt on a durable medium, sent automatically with no monthly limit, with the declaration, the exact time it arrived and a verifiable receipt. Works on any site, not just stores: Bookings and Events too. Cooloff also adds Germany's §312k cancellation button, the Kündigungsbutton, off until you turn it on, and the pre-contractual sentence for your withdrawal instructions in 20 official EU languages. It warns you if the button is missing or off. You get a copy by email; all listed with the day a refund would be due, exportable and deletable. With a connected store it matches the order, assesses the 14-day cooling-off period, cancels and refunds in one click, never automatically once shipped.
