Your site already has a sitemap. It builds it and keeps it up to date, which is the easy part and the part everybody stops at. The hard part is that it changes without telling you. Publish twelve products and it grows. Unpublish an old blog post and it shrinks. Somebody edits a page setting and forty addresses quietly disappear. Nothing announces any of this, and by the time you notice the traffic, you have no idea what changed or when. Sitemapify watches the file and writes down every change with the date. Thirty four addresses added on Tuesday morning. Nine gone on Thursday, all of them journal posts from 2023. That record is the reason to have it. It also shows you both sides of the gap. Addresses you have listed that Google has not taken, and real pages on your site that your sitemap never mentions at all. Those are different problems with different fixes, and most tools show you neither. And it flags what should not be in there: addresses that lead nowhere, ones that redirect somewhere else, pages listed and blocked at the same time.
