Checkout Rules helps you control what shoppers can buy before they place an order. It adds order limits and restrictions that the built-in checkout settings don't include, and shows shoppers a short message in the cart and at checkout that explains what needs to change.
You can limit the quantity, spend, weight or number of different products in an order, across your whole store or for selected categories and products, per order or per customer. Rules can apply only in certain situations, such as a shipping country or region, a delivery option, a customer type, a coupon or a date range, and each rule can either block checkout or show a warning that shoppers can continue past.
Store owners use it for things like selling some products in packs, setting a minimum order value for wholesale buyers, limiting a product drop to one per customer, avoiding PO box delivery for large items, or keeping coupons off sale items. Ready-made templates, a message preview and a test cart help you check a rule before it goes live, and an activity log lists recent blocked checkouts.
