The Velo team just wrapped up our time at Web Unleashed 2019 where we met with some of the 700 developers in attendance to talk all things front-end development and to showcase how Velo by Wix can help developers quickly build web applications.
Web Unleashed is a front-end development conference that showcases the emerging trends and technologies developers need to know. The Velo team met attendees and gave over 240 demos to developers to highlight how the platform helps them quickly build full web applications. In addition, visitors to our booth were given the opportunity to complete the Velo challenge and win a special gift.
Members of our team also took the stage at the event. SVP of Business, Navot Volk, hosted a talk on serverless technologies in front of more than 80 attendees and highlighted the ways this new architecture affects developers. “Serverless is changing the way we build and manage web applications. The technology can help developers at all levels if the DX takes their needs into account,” he said at the panel.

We also had fun with some of the developers in attendance with a Powerpoint Karaoke party at Radio @ Adelaide Hall which was just as crazy as it sounds.
Velo provides a completely new experience for front-end developers that lets them focus on the code and functionality of their applications. Thanks to Velo’s visual UI builder and 100s of ready made elements, developers can quickly create a UI for their applications and use Velo’s built-in IDE to add functionality.
In addition, we unveiled a number of new features designed to elevate Velo's developer experience. Chief amongst these are new local development features and collaboration tools that let developers build applications using their own local development tools and work together with other members of their team.
You can find out more about the features of Velo or read more about what developers need to know about the platform.
You can register for Velo, or if you already have a Wix site click Dev Mode and click Enable Velo.
