Hi Guys,
Im having some issues with the formatting of this strip and how I want it to display and I wondered if anyone here could help.
I want the Meal 1 text box to stay in the middle of my strip when the strip collapses depending on whether or not the strip containing foods resizes.
Some examples
Here is my food1strip single column with a space on the left-hand side for the troublesome meal1Text box (fig1)
Here is the preview when data is taken from the collection for meal1info,food11, food13 and food15.
it collapses food12,food14 and food 16 so we only see 4 of the possible 7 text boxes here and it reduces the size of the strip perfectly just what I want. (fig2)
Now the challenge. the meal1text box that I have here is NOT vertically aligned text just rotated and placed in the same food1Strip causes this to happen to the foods in the strip. what I want it to do is not interfere with the foods and if the strip resizes then just stay aligned to the middle of the strip. (fig3)
I do understand how this may cause an issue so I thought I would create another strip and place the meal1Text in that strip with two columns and column on the left to be reduced to 7% allowing it to slide in the space I left in the food strip. (fig4)
two strips now (fig4)
Slid the new strip (column strip70) over the top and attached it to the food strip (fig5)
to my surprise, it does exactly the same as (fig 3) why does it interfere if it's a separate strip over the top of the other strip ? is there a way to keep this from interfering and aligned to the middle no matter what the size of the bottom food strip is? (fig6)
Cheers
Dan
