Velo empowers you with the APIs, integrations and development freedom you need to build for the web on your terms.
This month we’re exploring how you can shape the development of new APIs, shedding light on how we update the platform, and inviting you to join the latest Wix Hackathon.
Improve newly released APIs with Developer Preview
Velo is always evolving and we want you to be a part of our development process. To that end, you’ll notice many new API releases will be tagged with ‘Developer Preview.’ Developer Preview is a 6-month soft launch attached to Alpha API releases, which allows you to explore APIs, and give feedback that improves their functionality before being fully released.
Get to know Velo’s API versions
Velo API updates are released modularly and updated manually, giving you the flexibility to choose the right version for your site. For example, wix-crm might be V2, while the latest version of wix-bookings might be V3. You should also note that backend modules at version 2 or higher allow you to easily unify frontend and backend functionality by importing the module’s code directly into any code file on your site.
