The Release Manager can help you find the best way to communicate with your audience.

Updated: Jan 6, 2021

When creating or updating a web application it’s crucial to ensure that your code is not only fully functional, but works as you intended. This is especially true when adding new functionality or experimenting with a new user experience. While you can always just test things out yourself, you’ll never be able to get the data that you really need. Instead, you can release it to a small percentage of your users and see how they react.

With this in mind, we developed a built-in Release Manager tool for gradually rolling out changes. With this tool, you can deploy a new version of your site or application to a set percentage of visitors, then monitor the health and gradually open it to more users when you’re ready.

This is a great way to measure the impact of adjustments you want to make to the layout and design of your site or application, as well as any new interactions or APIs you’ve connected.

For example, what if you wanted to update a customized form so it will autocomplete certain data based on users’ interactions with your application? Rather than testing it by yourself, you can push it to only 50% of your audience. By doing this, you can see how they’re handling the new format, and if everything works as you expected.
