Meet the Team
Talya Fuksman
Wix’s Online Community Manager by day and a mercenary pen-for-hire at night, Talya’s life centers around the production, distribution and consumption of content.
She regularly bemoans the quality of content circulated on the net and grieves the rapid demise of the semicolon.
She likes to think of herself as a younger, pudgier Anna Wintour but unlike her she’s never fired anyone. Yet.
Ronron
Ronron is a digital artist whose works are a hit among art house and fringe crowds. Aside from her career as an artist she’s also a graphic and web designer and Manager of Wix’ Photographers Community. She has a soft spot for wannabe artists and is known for her willingness to lend a year, a hand and on occasion – a cheese sandwich – to young talents. Her works are neatly displayed on Suicidehappy and Ronronart. Famous Ronron quote would be: “Huh hellettä sanoi jänis pakkasessa” (look it up).
Arik Sternberg
Arik is a native Israeli and a professional Jack of all Trades. Capitalizing on his interdisciplinary studies in the Tel-Aviv University and 14 years work experience in advertising, Arik has managed and helped to shape many of the marketing, community & content projects in the Wix family. Arik has recently moved to Vancouver to lead Wix community activities in Canada.
Emily Sokolow
Emily grew up in New York and has a BA in Comparative Literature and Anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Combing the internet for interesting designer blogs is a hobby of Emily’s, and she is passionate about helping others to successfully optimize their own websites. She enjoys exploring small streets in big cities and has had the chance to do so in Sydney, New York, Tel Aviv, Paris and London. She landed at Wix and has never looked back. When she’s not updating Wix users on the latest SEO news, she’s entering (and winning!) international hot dog eating contests.
After working in PR for a few years, Meital decided the internet start-up world was the one she wanted to be a part of. Meital loves discovering the most interesting & inspiring Wix websites, and hearing stories from all sorts of Wix users, from small business owners, to budding novelists creating a sleek Flash website to promote their latest zombie-thriller. When Meital isn’t exploring the creativity of Wix users, she’s taking care of a 3-legged cat that lives outside of her apartment, and the two 4-legged ones that live inside. Bloody vampire movies are her favorite (the real ones, not the Twilight kind), and discovering the latest gluten-free health food stores.
Sheer GanorBorn in San Diego, Cali, raised in Ra’anana, Israel and currently residing in Berlin, Germany. After years of modern slavery in the journalism industry, she discovered that online content is a lot more fun. Her favorite effect on the Wix editor is “Bevel”. Though surrounded by web designers and web design info, non of the talent has rubbed off on her (this is her most glorious Wix site). Sheer enjoys warm summer evenings and Googling. She can recite “The Big Lebowski” by heart, even after a couple of White Russians. She is currently doing her MA at the Humboldt University in Berlin, focusing on post WWII German history.
Carolina Solari
Born in a rain forest in Latin America but soon realizing she preferred plastic to natural wood, Carolina relocated to Miami. There, she embarked on an international sales career, luring tourists to buy dysfunctional goods from her. Once she saved enough money, she achieved a degree in Film Directing and worked as a freelance screenwriter. Adapting historical narratives into scripts is her specialty and lifelong passion. She considers the web to be a tolerable source of income while completing her script about King Charles II. Currently, she’s Wix Español’s Online Community Manager.
