This is what we value

Each one of our Customer Care Group Managers in the U.S. manages dozens of Care Experts and directly influences our relationship with our users. We asked 5 of them what their favorite Wix values are. This is what they said


Our Customer Care organization is at the forefront of our connection to our users. Wix’s Experts answer phone calls, chat and email messages around the clock, and always strive to help our users overcome obstacles, learn about new features and maximize their success.


We spoke with some of our Customer Care Group Managers - essentially the managers of the team leads who manage our Experts - about the values that resonate with them the most, and about the importance of building a Customer Care organization that operates by them.


Brooke Anderson: “I picked 3 of them - ‘We are Transparent’; ‘We allow failures’ and of course ‘No assholes’. I incorporate all three of these values very heavily into my management style and my daily routine. Everything I do and the example I show should always be aligned with them.


“Transparency is key to leadership and it starts with trust. You have to trust your people to be able to tell them and show them everything, and they have to trust you as well. Same thing with failures. It comes down to trust - you need to create a safe enough space for your people to feel comfortable to fail in. And ‘No assholes’ has to be my favorite. Since empowered people empower people, there is no room for not showing 100% support to others around you”.


Ciro Trombetta: “To me, integrity is a very important value. Any time that I had a conflict here in the last 5 and a half years, it was because of miscommunication and not because of somebody with poor integrity. At the end of the day, you’re going to be surrounded by your co-workers so integrity is very important.


“On top of that, I feel that at Wix, the mentality is to challenge yourself. Sometimes you’ll make mistakes and fail but it’s part of the culture that’s very encouraged. It’s expected here that managers make more mistakes than team members, so you’re always encouraged here to be bold and from a professional development standpoint, I think that it’s what kept me here”.


Devan Spence: “It’s a tie. When we say that we build the best products in the world, it’s an embodiment of our ‘Going for the win’ value and mentality. I think it changes the way that people approach things. We’re going here for the championship and our championship is within reach every single day with the work that we do. It brings out the best in so many of us. The other value that I like is ‘No assholes’”, he laughs. “I love that it’s stated so plainly because that's the point. We know that that’s not the type of culture that we want to have because we want to be able to work well together”.


Connor Reed: “The values that we have at Wix are values we hold all the time, and I feel connected to all of them, although my favorite value is definitely transparency. Why? Because the amount of transparency that happens throughout the whole company is unreal and really unique to Wix. The fact that every single person in the whole organization can have access to information is amazing”.


Gonzalo Armendariz: “The value that all of us are aligned with is the ‘No assholes’ value. That’s easy. However, one of the first things that caught my attention here is that Wix allows us to fail. It’s not a goal to fail and we don’t strive for it but we have such incredible enthusiasm that it really propels us forward”.
