Karma Gallery and Wine Bar: Karma is a fun and unique boutique and wine bar concept in downtown Longville, with two storefronts joined into one room with a long red carpet down the middle. The owner bought the former Gallery of New Creations in 2024 and spent close to two years in construction building the bar. She needed a website live before her ribbon cutting ceremony, and she needed it to stay current without touching any code. I designed and built the site in Wix Studio, working within her existing brand colors. I handled the full build: content writing, page structure, responsive design, custom development, domain and DNS setup, and SEO. The part that matters most here is the automation. Business hours live in a single CMS collection and render in both the header and the footer, so one edit updates them everywhere. A ticker in the header shows the next upcoming event pulled live from the events calendar and rolls over on its own once an event ends. She adds an event once and the site takes care of the rest. Ready Sites: Ready Sites Portfolio and Business Site This is my own personal portfolio and business website. I needed a central hub where potential clients could learn about my services and contact me about new projects, and where current clients could collaborate with me on ongoing work. I designed and built the site to serve both purposes: attracting new business and supporting existing clients. The site needed to feel professional and polished while being easy for clients to navigate. I wanted the design to reflect my work quality and make it simple for people to understand what I offer and how to get started. I handle all updates and maintenance myself. City of Longville : City of Longville Municipal Website What started as a simple request to update one page turned into a complete city website rebuild. The site was years out of date, and their previous web administrator had moved away and was ready to retire. I offered to help and ended up overhauling the entire site. I moved everything over to WiX Studio and built a new responsive, accessible design from scratch. The site needed to work for multiple city departments, so I set up the database and organized the content to serve them all. I built custom features using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including form systems and a file library for public documents. I handled all the content work (writing, editing, image optimization, SEO) and set up the domain, hosting, and SSL. I also created documentation and training materials so city staff could manage it on their own, and I provide ongoing support as needed. Key Features: → News feed that pulls Longville-specific articles from the local newspaper (Pine Cone Press-Citizen), including city announcements and public hearings → Event calendar for meetings and community events → Weather widget on the airport page → Contact forms → Standalone code request system for the athletic equipment shed → Search functionality across the whole site → Separate subdomain for the Municipay utility payment system Now the City of Longville has a modern, easy-to-use website that serves residents and visitors while meeting the complex needs of a small city government.

Forte Creative: Forte Creative Landing Page Forte Creative is a new local sign shop specializing in custom signs for schools, churches, and other small businesses. As an early-stage startup, they needed to establish a web presence in their service area quickly and affordably, with room to grow into a full e-commerce site later. I designed and developed a clean, professional landing page that introduces the business and makes it easy for potential customers to get in touch. Working with their existing logo, I created a complementary color palette for their brand. I created documentation so they understand how to login, navigate their dashboard, and use the site. I'm providing ongoing maintenance as their business evolves. The design is built to scale, so when they're ready to add a product catalog and e-commerce functionality, the foundation is already in place.
