Hi Karen, your church purchased 2 hours of support time with our team (not something we usually offer to folks we haven't worked with before, but since you are a non-profit, we wanted to help). We reached out to you several times via email and through our project management system (Basecamp) with the video you're referring to, but did not hear back. We unfortunately cannot (and do not) guarantee that you'll learn everything you need to know about Wix with just 2 hours of support time, and we're sorry to hear that you decided to take the site down.

This professional helped me set up a website for St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church to collect recipes for our cookbook.  Unfortunately the site did not work for everyone some could submit recipes and some could not submit recipes.  I was not able to submit recipes and when I reach out response was slow.  Sometime several days waiting before I received a response.  We took the site down after two months and all the recipes entered were not even on the download so this was not helpful with our quest.  I was told I would receive a video to help navigate the site and had to ask for the video more than once before receiving the information.  This was not a fit for our purposes.  

I was blown away. They really do create an amazing website in one day. 

It far exceeded my expectations. 

To be totally honest, I was expecting an adequate but not exceptional site. They made a site I'm truly proud of. 

It was so easy to work with them. They have a strong system and it is streamlined and so effective.

Giving high marks for design and creativity, and less for the method they call website in a day.  I think for someone who can take over the basic web building and use Wix helpful services, their method would work.  However, I needed time between seeing the design on the wire frames, and realizing what else needed to be done, so there was some anxiety on my end since I am quite a tech novice.  Absolutely loved the final product and they were easy to work with except for the final follow-through that I needed.

Brendan and his team at Border7 Studios did an excellent job in creating my travel blog website.  I chose the "Website in a Day" service and everything went exactly as promised.  They were able to take my ideas and turn them into a well-functioning website.  Their follow-up after the website was up and running was terrific, and a few small problems were quickly and successfully addressed.  I am extremely pleased with the outcome and can highly recommend Brendan and his Border7 Studio team, as well as their "Website in a Day" service.

The team made it easy for a novice to understand how everything works on the website and that was my biggest concern. The 7 day warranty period is also very reassuring that I will be taken care of incase I have problems after the creation. Easy to talk to, great design, and honest critiquing of my own ideas was very much appreciated. I definitely recommend to anyone that needs help with putting together a business website.

I'm so thankful to have been able to work with Brendan and Border7 Studios.  Brendan understood my decreased abilities due to a brain injury and he was very patient and articulate.  He continued checking in with me to make sure I was keeping up and understanding.  When I needed extra time, he didn't hesitate to offer the break for me to catch up.  When I hadn't quite finished something, he came along side me and helped me finish.  He knows what he's doing!  I know I asked him many off topic questions and recommendations and he was so gracious to answer my questions with such knowledge of each subject!  Again, I cannot express just how appreciative I am!  I will definitely be recommending Border7 Studios to anyone in need of a polished and professional website!

Ariela agreed to our terms & then suddenly decided she wanted to change them. We delivered a free logo & a custom accessible website. If she wanted to make more changes, we were still happy to help her. She demanded more than a 50% refund after already agreeing to our terms that we don't offer refunds because we only take on so many clients & can't get that time back. Extremely disappointed. I purchased the website-in-a-day plus marketing plan from this duo, super excited to work with them as them seemed really honest, friendly and knowledgeable. We built my website on 4/13 and I was asked to give edits, which I did, in preparation for the final version to be reviewed together on 4/14 in the morning. They had to reschedule, which was fine, but I still expected that my requested edits (which included fixing my phone number to include the last digit) would be make promptly. Fast forward to multiple rescheduled meetings (Wix was down once and their power was out once), multiple messages that were not responded to (via their project organization platform and email) forcing me to have to call and leave 2 messages (including one on a Saturday) to finally receive a text saying they were out of office but would notify their team. It took so much time and energy to get ahold of them. I let them know on 4/20 that I had a marketing event over the weekend and needed the website complete for that. They acknowledged and said it would be finished. It was not finished until 4/24, again after multiple calls. I did not end up marketing because the website still did not have all of the changes made that I had asked for (I know that they did not do them because they sent me a video of my “finished” website on 4/23 that clearly STILL did not have my phone number correct). Even today, someone booked on my website and we discovered that the email message they got had the last digit of my phone number missing. I have now spent hours editing my website to create something that I am proud to share and has accurate information.

As this was my experience, I chose not to continue with the marketing package I had purchased. I emailed the owners asking for a partial refund for the website and a full refund of the marketing package. What I received in turn were lists of excuses and no acknowledgement of any wrong-doing. They considered my website “finished” when they connected it to google and to my domain name and published it. Links did not work, the landing page image was one that I hated and had asked for them to change, the patient portal link I had asked for was not there, links to schedule were not in place, and my phone number was incorrect. They considered these changes part of the 7-day warranty they offer after a website goes live. They have refused to give me a refund and updated their own website “terms” which was linked to their privacy policy only. They also sent multiple email messages that were not constructive and shamed me for saying I was going to write an honest review. They took no responsibility for any issues, wasted my time and energy and refused any sort of compensation. 

Time and money lost and I still don’t have a finished product.

I had a productive and amazing experience with Border 7.  They were professional and knowledgeable.  They helped me to articulate my services to my target audience.
