  1. Get out all your frustration. Peel, quarter, core and slice your apples.
     

  2. Throw down your apples in your pie crust. Sprinkle ‘em with sugar, cinnamon, butter and some piece of mind.
     

  3. Cover with top crust. You should be feeling better already
     

  4. Cook for 10 minutes at 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and 30 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
     

  5. Serve it to someone who's in need of a reality check.

INGREDIENTS

6 CUPS SLICED APPLES

3/4 CUP WHITE SUGAR

1 TABLESPOON BUTTER

1 TEASPOON CINNAMON

INGREDIENTS

1 STICK UNSALTED BUTTER OR MARGARINE

6 TABLESPOONS COCOA

2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER OR MARGARINE

2 EGGS, LIGHTLY BEATEN

1 CUP SUGAR

1/4 CUP ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

1/4 TEASPOON SALT

2 TEASPOONS VANILLA EXTRACT

PREBAKED PIE CRUST

  1. Heat the butter in the microwave. Think about how the fun of your relationship has melted away.
     

  2. Breakups ain’t easy. Warm up those bad memories as you preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
     

  3. Mix in cocoa and a good dose of resolve.
     

  4. Whisk the sugar, eggs, flour and salt. Then combine the chocolate mixture until well blended.
     

  5. Pour into the pie crust and bake for 30-35 minutes.
     

  6. For an especially dramatic breakup, top with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
