Hi, I’m Elena, and The Sear is my home base for all things cooking, writing, and feeding the people I love. I grew up in a family where the kitchen was never quiet. Someone was always chopping, stirring, or leaning over a pot to taste “just one more time.” I learned early that food didn’t have to be fancy to feel special - it just had to be honest, well-seasoned, and cooked with care. Years later, not much has changed.

How I Cook

Good ingredients, treated simply. Salt at every stage. Tasting as you go. Not every recipe takes hours plenty are weeknight-friendly but I take the time to do things properly. That's about it.
