Since his conversion in the spring of 1957 and his surrender to preach in the fall of 1957, Dr. Ray Bearden has been greatly used of God in the pastorate. He pastored churches in Georgia early in his ministry before moving his family in 1970 to Kingston, Tennessee, where he was privileged to pastor the Calvary Baptist Church for thirty-three years. After he retired as pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Dr. Bearden has continued to travel and preach the life changing gospel message. His heart's burden through the years has been the Pastorate, Revival, Evangelism, and Missions.
(Dr. Ray Bearden received three honorary doctorate degrees from Bethany Bible College, Sacramento Baptist College, and Faith Baptist Institute, and he has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baptist Christian College in Louisianna.)
