Help with Gallery Expend Mode links

The wix pro galleries are linked to the database. The images open in expand mode. I would like the open mode, in addition to the title and description of the picture, to have a direct link to the store’s relevant page (which will say “Buy now” for example). When I link the gallery to the url column, the expanded mode is canceled and clicked directly to the store on a separate page. Is it possible to do this? If not, I thought of making all the galleries normal, without a link to the database, but I’m afraid it will make the site more heavy and load time slower. What solution do can you offer me?
Thanks for your help!

Hi,
Currently there’s no integration of Wix Stores with Wix Code, however this is on our backlog. As for the other solution you mentioned- I’m not sure that I fully understand what you were referring. Can you please clarify?

Thanks,
Tal.

Thank you Tal
I will try to explain clearly,
The galleries on the site are linked to the DataBase, and the images are opened in “Expand Mode”.
Within the “expand Mode” I need to insert a link to a relevant page on the site
(I don’t need an integration with Wix Store). Is it possible?

the other solution is to make regular galleries (the old good way), which will be independent and not connected to the DB,
but I’m afraid it will weight a lot and slow down the site… Is it right?

Thanks a lot

Hi,
You can link the gallery to the relevant page when connecting it to the collection, as you can see here:

The URLs should be added to the collection.

Good luck,
Tal.

Hi @_tal
If you link url using dataset expand mode of the gallery won’t work. Instead of it url will be opened.
Is it a kind of bug. Who to have a link inside expand mode, using the dataset?

This is a bug, and by the look of things, it’s been around for a while.
It’s really bothering me too. The Pro Galleries are missing this key piece of functionality.

Is there any sign of a fix for this, or a work-around?
A code/Velo solution is fine.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
