Adding the MailChimp PopUp to Wix

Hello, I have tried to connect MailChimp to Wix. MailChimp even acknowledges that their code is on the Wix site when I click to verify connection.

I am not trying to embed the signup form. I’m trying to display the pop-up.

I have tried to add an HTML box to the website - doesn’t work.
I have tried to add the code to the Tracking Tools & Analytics area, in the Head, Body-Start, and Body-End.

When I add this code to the head

My site goes blank/breaks the site.

Adding it to any other area does not work.

Has anyone figured out a way to do this yet? Maybe using the advanced code tools to add to a database file or something?

You must implement the code in Site Manager - Tracking & Analytics - Custom then it will work and check the console for errors. Maybe you need to specify the whole domain name in the url despite fact baseurl in there? src=" //downloads.mailchimp.com/js/signup-forms/popup/embed.js " ?

@Andreas Kviby do you mean add “http://” to the from of that src link?

edit: I tried to add http: and https: and it didn’t work… http made it so the site didn’t break, but still no pop-up displays.

I am having the exact same problem. MailChimp says it is connected, but nothing happens in Wix. Just wondering if there is mode code that needs to be configured inside Wix?

Is there any update on this? Would really to use this pop-up. It should work according to the instructions and info from both MailChimp and Wix…

Thanks so much! I followed all the steps and now I have the Newsletter as a link as a subpage. and how can I get it now to pop up when a person is visiting my website?

Hi guys

I found a hack for this, that actually works and makes the Mailchimp sign up form pop up!:

However because of the way Wix sites operate, the pop up form only shows up once, when you load the webpage for the very the first time. It is supposed to load the pop up form every time someone visits my site for the first time, but when I test it - the form only pops up on my very first visit. Not when I revisit the website. I have found out that it shows up again if I remove all cookies and then visit the page again - but that is not going to work for me. I need the pop up form to appear every time someone visits my page - even if they have been there before…

Please report back if this works for you - and if you find a hack for the pop up not popping up every time soneone visits the page.

Hey that worked for me! The pop up form shows in wix, but when i enter my mail and click on confirm, there is no double optin message sent by mailchimp. Can you help me with that?

I have embedded a mailchimp subscriber pop up form. I honestly don´t remember exactly how I did it, but if you go to Sign up forms in mailchimp and chose Subscriber pop up - it should be pretty easy. Let me know if you need help during the process :slight_smile:
