Changing Your Free Wix URL

When you publish your site for the first time, your site address is in the form of a free Wix URL: accountname.wixsite.com/site-name.
You can change your free Wix URL by editing the account or site name:
- Account name: This is the account name of your Wix account. You can edit your account name in your Account Settings.
- Site name: You enter your site address when saving your site for the first time. You can edit it in your site dashboard.

Changing your account name
You can change your account name at any time from your account settings. This controls the first part of your free site URL (accountname.wixsite.com/site-name).
To change your account name:
- Go to Account Settings in your Wix account.
- Click anywhere in the Account name field.
- Edit your new name in the Account name field in the pop-up that opens.
- Click Save.
Changing your site name
You can rename your site directly from the dashboard. This controls the last part of your free site URL (accountname.wixsite.com/site-name).
To change your site name:
- Go to your site's dashboard.
- Click Site Actions.
- Click Rename Site.
- Edit the site name.
- Click Save.
