I was first introduced to graphic design at the University of Maine, where I majored in journalism, with a concentration in advertising. After college I began working with an ad specialties agency in the Metro Detroit area. I received my Adobe Illustrator certification shortly after, and quickly became “the graphics department.”
I still work for the agency, but I also do a lot of freelance graphic design work. My expertise is logo and brand identity design. I have another Wix site that is dedicated to my graphic design work. I also dabble in photography which you can view at www.alannapfeffer.com. I love photographing pets, food, and Detroit.
I heard about Wix about 2 years ago on the internet. I don’t know HTML or CSS, so Wix is a perfect fit for me. I love the freedom Wix allows it’s users. You can either edit a pre-made template, or you can use the blank template to create a site that is 100% unique. I prefer the blank template for this reason.
I have tried other website builders, and find that most of their site editors are too rigid. You wind up with a site that looks like 1,000 other sites on the internet. Wix gives the user a blank canvas with infinite website design possibilities.
