I graduated from sport management and sport marketing. I have started a project to design and build a 20” wheel size urban utility bike designed to fold into a compact form, for easier transport and storage. I have been working as a product manager for different multinational companies. After more than 15 years I have decided to start my own business. The intention was to utilize the experiences of my professional career and acquire clients.
My initiative is to share the experiences on this project and generate interest and further orders to produce more of these kind of bikes. The first step was to build this website. Then to optimize and publish it to maximize the number of clicks and visitors. Now I keep receiving claims and pre-orders to build bikes.
Wix gives the opportunity to design and edit my website. As a creative I want to see immediately how my ideas look in a real environment. The preview function gives you the opportunity to test a visual before it goes live.
When you check my website today, you can see it looks different than in the previous month. I can show fresh ideas and content. My clients believe that the pictures they see could change as the market changes. I can be dynamic on my website.
You always have to be up-to-date. It is not enough to finish a job, you have to show it off online. When a project has been completed you have to publish it immediately to approach future clients. With Wix, it takes a couple of minutes to put all the references you want to show.
The added value I got from using Wix is freedom. There are templates for getting ideas and you can shape them to your expectations.
My 3 tips for someone just starting out would be:
1) Be creative: If you are able to sell yourself, your future clients will believe that you can help them sell their ideas.
2) Be unique: express yourself in a way no other did before.
3) Build your own brand: build yourself – create something that identifies you.
