Don't get me wrong, Wix Music is okay, but it could be optimized so that it competes with other music sites such as BeatStars.
Here's a few things I miss.
- The ability to choose what fileformat can be purchased. There's nothing wrong with MP3-, and FLAC formats, but music producers today compete on leasing-models that contain either MP3 or WAV. Right now, Wix automatically sends the MP3 and FLAC to the customer. Giving the producer this ability would be awesome.
- Audit log to prevent chargebacks. If this is even possible, I don't know. The only reason why I'm recommending this is because AirBit did this by using the customer's form inputs when purchasing as their e-signature. I do not know if this is needed since I'm not a legal contractor.
- Attaching a .PDF to the music player, which will be delivered when a customer buys through Wix Music. Selling music without informing about a license can in the long run result on copyright misuse etc, etc. Music producers generally want to prevent this and currently (at my own site) we send these licenses to our customers manually, which can take a lot of time.
The reason why I'm not using any of the other music/beat-stores is due to their design and how everyone is using them and since I like to design my own, Wix was the way to go for me - but it has its flaws.
Thank you. I hope you'll discuss the points I mentioned.
