Wix Code Is Now Corvid

You may be asking yourself, why the change? Simply put: Wix Code has evolved a lot . New features, new tools, new functionalities that completely broaden its scope, so much so we decided to give it a new name and a new website to capture it all.

Corvid is an open development platform that lets you build advanced web applications—quicker, smarter, and collaboratively.

Anything you built on Wix Code will not be affected by this change. You just get more capabilities and flexibility to enhance your development experience and streamline your workflow.

Discover New Features

Connect to External Data Sources
In addition to Corvid’s built-in database, you can now connect to external data sources to collect, store, and manage all your content.

Test Versions with Gradual Rollout
Create a release candidate, control the percentage of visitors that view them, and gradually rollout to a wider audience.

Work Locally and Collaboratively
Use Corvid’s built-in code editor and front-end visual builder, or work locally and collaboratively from your own environment.

Monitor Application Health with Telemetry
Integrate with third-party logging systems to view and track runtime logs, errors, and events—all from your dashboard.

@yoav-wix This is fantastic, thanks!

Is this a slow rollout over the next few days? I’m not yet seeing Corvid as an option inside the editor, it’s still code.

@yoav-wix since you showed this to us in NY back in 2017 I’ve loved anything and everything Wix Code related. Very happy to see this grow bigger and bigger and happy to be using this on a daily basis.

Cheers!

@yoav-wix Does this mean multiple people can be in the editor at the same time?

We will enable a team to work together on the same site by downloading the ‘site source’ to your local file system, work with your IDE of choice and collaborate using your favourite version control (Git for example).
You will be able to create and edit your pages and code locally and push the updated version to the online repository at Wix
Stay tuned, more info coming soon!

Are there issues being created by the changeover…mobile site not functioning properly in recent days. Latest is that login for member area not working on mobile site, but functions fine on desktop and that is directly affecting paid plans. My revenues suffering

Hi Jeff,
could you please provide your site to check as it works for my sites on different mobile devices?

I notice that the members sign up now has a Corvid Form available as choice for members to see. However, not seeing what it actually entails. Any link available to view what the Corvid Form is all about?

Top Priorities I see with the rebranding:

  1. Keep working on that speed
  2. Flush out the paid plans…very limited and hard to use permission settings for admin
  3. Awaiting the new rollouts to pass any further judgement

It will be really helpful to fix an issue quickly if you provide snapshot or sites

Why can’t I start a beta program for my website. I see you can do betas for people to try out, but I don’t have that feature available. Also the webs app feature.

Hello Yoav, Can wix now accept xml data feeds ?
