I have very weird problem with my Menu. One of the links called ‘Adoptions’ take me to the correct page ‘adoptions’ but in the address bar of the browser it says ‘www.xxxxxx. copy-of-adoptions-1 . I haven’t got a page of that name anywhere on my site!
I tried a new menu in the middle of a new blank page so nothing overlapping and it still does the same.
I then opened an old copy of my site that hasn’t been touched for a while and I get the same thing, so deleted the menu and put a different one up but still acted the same.
I have renamed the page, checked the settings for page info, layouts, permissions and all the entries the same as the other pages. Header is not frozen.
I have copied the page, renamed it, deleted it, added it, logged out and back in and made it a cup of tea but nothing changes. Also tried in other browsers, one of which I never use – so not cached.

Apart from looking really ugly and putting me off upgrading how on earth is it that it shows in the browser address bar a page that isn’t there?
Any help gratefully received – I am tearing my hair out.
