Some action with 2 database.

Is that possible to make a link between 2 database?
I made a form for user to fill in. I hope the form can do somethings like below:
User key in their ID, beside will show their name directly.

But there is another question is…
User data is in database A ; the form their fill in is for database B…
Is it possible to make it?

Use the ‘Reference’ field type in the content manager to create relationship between two collections in the database.
