I have a dateset that is displayed on a repeater. The page has a search bar as well as two drop down boxes.
Within my database I have data that contains accented characters such as umlauts. Is it possible to allow users to search for data containing accented characters using non-accented characters?
Example: Let’s say I wanted to search for products within my database made by the company “Dräger”. The umlaut “ä” is usually replaced by “ae”, however, some people don’t realise this and replace it with an “a”. I want users to be capable of searching “Dräger”, “Draeger” as well as “Drager” and still obtaining the same results. I want this rule to apply to all umlauts as I have a lot of German items in my database.
Does anyone have an example of code to resolve this issue?
