Hello. This is my first time posting and I am not super tech savvy, so I do apologize in advance if my question is not worded as well as it could be. Thank you to anyone who offers any help and advice. It will be much appreciated.
I recently used Wix to design a fairly simple website for a service based business. I loved how easy it was to use and how much customization of the site it offered. I currently work for a software as a service (saas) company and we are in the process of launching our second, related saas company. Our current saas company has a custom built site and editing anything on the site is difficult-the editor is really basic, clunky, limited and overall hard to use. After recently using Wix, I was interested in using it to build the website for our second saas company to make it easier to change copywriting, images, etc. on the front end, marketing website.
My question is, is it possible to integrate a front end, public facing, marketing site built on Wix with a custom built back end, paid user only site. I do think we will need a custom back end site for our saas offering. For example, if a potential customer is navigating our Wix built website and clicks a "sign up" button or if an existing customer is on our Wix website and clicks a "log in" button would the front end website integrate with a custom built paid users only back end? Our programmers are using Ruby on Rails currently, if that information is needed.
