Is there a proposed release date for Wix Code?
I have no idea but I would guess late december or beginning of 2018 if they are thinking of getting all stuff packed in before. I am still very happy that the beta is so stable.
Yes agree that it is pretty stable & hopefully near to go-live date? I too am interested in a hoped for/indicative release date, if possible.
I lecture to a group of masters students & I have tasked a group of them to redevelop the existing course website in Wix. The core of the website is to present information for each of the approx 40 students & dynamic pages seem perfect for this.
The launch date for this redeveloped website is April 2018 but I want them working on it from Nov 2017 so need to know which direction they should take - static webpages (40+) or dynamic webpages?

We’re not ready to publicly announce any dates at this time, but there’s no restriction on publishing live sites. Out of curiosity, what’s your concern - just general beta software angst, or something else?

I’m relatively new beta user - just a week or so & I read a bit more after I posted this. I realised that the sites developed with Wix code elements could be published.
What threw me was that my recent dynamic page efforts work in preview but not when published (404 error) which I thought was due to Beta restrictions but I now realise it’s an implementation issue on my side - so just have to sort this out.
Forgive my wrong assumptions in my post & I will be directing the group to develop the website using Wix code
