Up until now Wix's database has been a great way to update, display and get users to search for information on our website. However, the recent changes to the live database have made it impossible, as far as I can see, to delete more than one row of data at a time, which is hugely problematic and time consuming when trying to delete lots of old data that is no longer required, and then replace it with new data.
Our website displays local events in the area which users can search through using input boxes, dropboxes and a repeater. I upload these events once a fortnight as a CSV file into a the sandbox dataset collection, then sync them to the live. Because I need to delete any events where the date has passed, I delete all rows from the live dataset collection (basically deleting everything out of the live dataset) by clicking and dragging down the rows, import the new events via a CSV file into the sandbox collection, then sync the sandbox to the live dataset. Basically this process erases all the old data in the live dataset, and replaces it with all new data.
I've found that in the new live dataset collections I now can't delete more than one row of data at a time (when I try to click and drag down the rows on the left hand side it won't select more that one at a time), and if I sync new data from the sandbox to the live, it adds it to the existing data (which is now obsolete) without erasing it. I've pasted in a screenshot below to show how the live dataset only allows you to delete one row at a time. In the sandbox dataset there is still the option to delete multiple rows at one time.
The only workaround I've found is to delete the whole dataset and create a new one, then re-connect the new datasets on the website pages. This is still a bit of a long way around doing things!
Is there any way of deleting all the data from the live dataset at one time, so that I can then sync up the new data form the sandbox dataset without the old data still being there? It might be something obvious that I'm missing, but I just can't figure it out!
Any help would be very much appreciated!
