So I have been working on a custom search for my site.
Previously I have used a lightbox as a search box that would expand when the icon is clicked - but this made the mobile site clunky and it would never appear correctly on a mobile site. So I have reworked it to be in an expanding/appearing textbox inside the header.
My search is automatic and begins searching as you begin typing narrowing the results down as you go, and the dynamic table that appears below the searchbar contains all the results and links. however, as it stands currently, whenever the results table appears, it pushes all the page elements down (despite it being in the header and above them) - I am desperately trying to locate a workaround that would allow me to have the results table overlay the main page and all its elements.
thus far I have not able to locate any working solution… if anyone can help I would be eternally grateful!
