making a cake builder and linking it to wix stores

I am trying to offer customized cakes as part of my small business and was hoping to give my customers an interactive experience to design their own cake (similar to dominos, pizza hut and papa johns). I’ve seen the wix tutorial on hiding and showing elements with the backpacks, but I am looking to only change parts of the cake at a time as opposed to the whole thing. For instance, the customer should be able to pick what color frosting they want on the cake and then separately choose what kind of topper. There are 10 aspects of the cake that can be customized. I’ve taken all the photos and created a bunch of png files so this isn’t an image problem but simply I am unfamiliar with wix code / javascript.

I would also like to integrate the user customized cake into the wix store, but if that isn’t possible at least include in the wix store the specifications of the customization for the cake.

Hopefully this is descriptive enough to explain the problem. I’m in over my head and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hay eickvballer,

You can use Wix Code to create a cake designer, given you have only 10 aspects.

However, we do not have the right APIs yet for integration with eComm. We are working on it.

Hey Yoav, absolutly! My Site (www.evaultcompany.com) is a way for customers to build custom cryptocurrency portfolios. we have ‘pre-built’ portfolios but we also want to sell customizable ones. there are two things I am not quite sure how to implement:

  1. I would like users to be able to set the price of the product at checkout.
  2. I would like users to be able to build their own portfolios (like eickvballer’s customizable cake).

is this possible?

I know Neta-lee posted about there being a beta for Wix Store APIs (https://www.wix.com/code/home/forum/feature-requests/wix-code-wix-stores). is this what you are referring to or are there already ways to do what I am trying to do?
