Help explaining site boundaries and views

Hi,

My website is designed NOT to scroll downwards to each page like most Wix templates show. I instead went for the classic way of clicking to open new page.

I designed my website on my laptop keeping my main text inside the gridlines and with boundary artwork overspilling to the edge of the page. I then tried opening it on other devices with different screen sizes and ratios (tablet, PC…) to find that the layout looks a bit rubbish because my text and artwork is all bunched in the middle.
The page boundaries left and right stretch out with just the plain Page Background and no art which looks bad.
A similar problem exists with the bottom of the page but here the plain Page Background stops partway down the screen (where my laptop screen ended) and then it turns to white background down to the bottom of my larger monitor screen which looks awful.

I have options to Adjust Page Height and Stretch but I am not entirely sure if this helps. I think it simply creates a plain ether at the bottom so it would display similar to the sides.

Can anyone offer advice on what they have done to overcome this challenge or suggest what I might do for my website?

Many thanks in advance!

Bump - Still struggling with this so if anyone has advice it would be great!
