I am trying to create a form, wherein the users should be able to upload CAD related files (.drw or .asm). But the database allows only images and documents. Any other workaround for this?

i am looking for this feature as well, but then also .stl, sat. stp files etc. Hope this gets addressed.

Hi,
Visitors can upload other file types files to a Dropbox account using Get Files to Dropbox app. We also have a few third-party apps, available in the Wix App Market , which have a file uploading feature. Check out the 123 Form Builder app, or search for other apps using the search term “file”.
Note that if you use a third party apps, the files won’t be saved to the DB collection.

Ok. Thanks. So, is there custom code that could allow a file upload with a form and database feature? I will need to save to a database to keep track of customers info paired with the file they uploaded. The standard wix form is perfect minus the allowable files to be uploaded. Can that code change? If not, why? Thanks so much for getting back to me.
Currently, you can upload a document or an image to the database. Not all files are supported. If you wish to have more file types supported, you can submit a feature request here . Note that code cannot change this since, as you mentioned, it is not supported.

in late 2020 no way to load zip/rar file… WTF what’s wix enginner are doing? they know that working peoples need to manage with thounsand file extension?
Agree. So surprised that I cannot upload an STL file for people to download. Would have been a deal killer, if I knew before I designed my website.
Feel free to add new wish to wishlist, or vote-up an already existing feature-request…
