I'm slightly disappointed to see that the Wix restaurant app doesn't have API access, which means that modifications can be quite tricky. I'm trying to implement the a restaurant site that allows for custom discount codes & build more a of a CRM system. This seems like something that would be perfect for Wix Store except that is missing some customizability in terms of the check-out process. Specifically I like the feature that allows you to restrict the delivery radius, sending a fax for confirmation, and (though I'm unlikely to use it) order management.
It's a bit disappointing that while the store can be connected to a customer login, the restaurant orders are not.
It would be super super interesting if there was a way for API to create an order so that in the future, I can potentially send orders from other platforms into Wix and then have it confirm there.
If anyone has any ideas if this is possible via the store app (via adding code to the checkout process) -- I would love to hear you out!
Anyways, it's definitely come a long way but little things like this make me want to consider shopify or just going with a third party POS system.
