Dynamic Pages - Not Showing on Google?

Hello,

I run a food blog and I set up a Dynamic Page / Database so I can easily add recipes. I really don’t like Wix’s blog, so thought this was the next best thing. See example here:

https://www.bakerandbutcher.co.uk/Recipes/Chorizo-Nachos

However, when I come to search these on Google I can’t find them. Even searching the actual URL simply brings up a URL of my homemade several times and images of my different recipes, but not that page specifically.

I wondered, is this because it’s a dynamic page? And if so, should I set up individual pages for each recipe, instead?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Same! I just realized this. Wish I didn’t waste so much time building my site, none of my dynamic pages show on google.

To add to this and what may be the issue, it seems that Google can’t read or see Wix dynamic pages or at least the data that comes from a database. I had over 400 pages with a word count of 42. However, these pages had around 2,000 words. After looking I noticed the 42 words where static and not coming from a database.

This is something Wix need to fix ASAP. I wasted weeks and then months waiting to see how the pages do on Google just to find out they never had a chance to rank.

Have you seen this article? It outlines the steps to set up the SEO for your dynamic pages: https://support.wix.com/en/article/working-with-seo-settings-for-dynamic-pages

Yes, The article you posted has nothing to do with Google and other search engines being able to read/see text on dynamic pages. Title, meta descriptions are helpful but they mean nothing if Google is unable to read the actual page.

On-page SEO is important and you lose that completely when using Wix dynamic pages.

Thank you for your help

@marvin-a Thanks for clarifying the issue. I’ll ask the team and get back to you.

Hi Marvin, Can you please share your URL so we can investigate the issue? Thanks.

@dfernandohh Hi Fernando, Thanks for responding, but can you use Google Translate next time and post in English so everyone can understand your comment? Thanks!

@marlowe-shaeffer
You really can’t do it by dynamics, using the wix pattern, unfortunately their problem has a little time, I recommend the following:

Manually add the SEO code to the page, or use the advanced SEO options

E Manually index your site in Google Search Consoler, and select the page sequence, it’s not 100% on demand from Wix, but 90% of the cases, positive.

@marvin-a was this ever solved. Are the pages able to rank now? :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe it’s solved now
