I have setup the dynamic pages both the individual item page and the gallery option mentioned in step 8. The final step of having the gallery linked to the dynamic item page is where the issue comes up.
Ok so your Gallery does not connect as it should to the Dataset? Do you have the images in separate records in the Data Collection and you have connected the field with the Image to the gallery? Do you use Pro Gallery or normal gallery?
This is using the table mentioned in the tutorial. It’s not an actual gallery, it’s a table that is synced to a dataset. Every page and every item is linked accordingly yet for some reason it won’t lead to the dynamic pages on it’s own.
Think of the table page as the index page. Normally clicking on any item in the index should lead you to the appropriate dynamic page. In this case, there’s no clicking option on the live demo, it simply highlights. I would like the link to work.
Does that make sense?
I’m having a similar issue with the exact same step. I linked my database (which is comprised only of text, image, and richtext data, nothing fancy) to a dynamic page and made sure everything was linked with the proper permissions and set to read only but when I open the index page in preview mode (which only has a simple gallery and header+footer) I get this error message:
When I click the image in the preview it seems to work fine, but once I publish my site the gallery is completely invisible. I checked its properties to make sure it wasn’t set to hide or collapse on load either.
This seems like it would be related?

Thanks for the interest Ron, but actually I just hadn’t updated the live database and it works great now!
