Defer parsing of JavaScript

Hi All

Anyone knows how to defer the parsing of JS in Wixcode?
I tested my website speed with GTmetrix and one of the weak points is Defer parsing of JS during the initial load of page.

Please advice and thanks in advance.

I thing when server side rendering comes you wont have to worry about this :slight_smile: Until then I dont think you can defer all JS in Wix Code

Thanks a lot… I hope they can release it as early as possible as i been doing all stuff just to make my website load fast. It not good to do online business if loading webpage take 5s above.

Let just hope for the better.

So you can’t defer js, I take it?

@darkenangel what kinds of things have you done to improve performance? I’m seeing >5s as well for what is a pretty basic site.

I am still trying to figure it out where the hell we can get pieces of code lol.
Wix still has no solution on it except the one they implement for mobile version “rendering”.

All i did is minimize my JS, optimize images, avoid using many animation, no videos and I put most of heavy items/datas on the website footer.

I really appreciate Wix team hard work but speeding load is one of the most important in website.
Cant make more animation on my images, add gallery/ videos and some cool stuff as it really slow my website loading.

I am not coder so I wait for Wix team to help us on this matter.
