Collapse Not Working

www.NeovativeDesign.com/bugexample

If a developer can login, I have color coded the 2 strips and set them to collapse. This was in fact working and moving up the footer to close any gaps but then after working on a 3rd strip it stopped collapsing. All it did was essentially hide the strips and leave the empty white gap. As far as code goes. I have commented them out for now as it is irrelevant (I was using the expand and collapse code not “hide” or “show”)

There seem to be some js error in the console on that page. I have attached an image for WIX staff to see.

I have no problems on using expand() or collpase() but sometimes I have a feeling that the strips needs to be collapsed in order on page to work 100%.

Thank you for that Andreas. Right now I do have them set to be collapsed on load which is the weird part.

Are they also hidden on load or just collapsed?

Only collapsed is activated. Just checked the mobile version and that collapses the strips like it’s supposed to. Only issue is with desktop.

Hi
Thank you for contacting us,
To solve this issue you can drag your footer down and then double click the handle to make the footer adapt to the new size of the page.

Best regards

It works. Thank you!

@joseph-wix
Thanks a lot!
You should make this “double-click solution” an article, I found many posts trying to figure out how to deal with this issue…

I am sooo happy I found this! I feel like I just saved myself a days’ worth of work trying to figure this out. Thank you!

Also, I second the last comment about Wix making this a separate article, or at least adding this tip to their relevant tutorials.

YES! In mobile, my footer would not move up when elements were un-collapsed. Pulling the footer down to make a gap and then double-clicking the footer handle fixed the problem! Who would have known! Thank you!
