I am trying to allow people to use database collections to upload an image to their members page. The only issue is the image is always cropped to whatever size I set when making the page. I do not want their images to be cropped. How do I make it so the width of the image they place is "auto" instead of something else?
A lot of tutorials say to go into edit, and go to the image I want to change, and do something like "reset image" but unfortunately this only helps me when designing the page. It does not help the members who upload images to the collection, as theirs become stuck in this cropped state that they cannot reset, because it is constrained by the placeholder image I set. I have been on a wild goose chase for two days trying to find a solution, only to find others having the same problem and no answers/replies on their online questions.
In the most basic sense, I wish to display a member uploaded collection image with no cropping done to that image. Resizing, sure. Cropping, no.
When looking at the page source, I see that if I can change the width to auto or change object-fit to "unset" then the problem disappears. However, as we are not able to change css, I have been struggling to find some version of a corvid code that might do this. If it is for some strange reason impossible to display a collection image without it being cropped, is it possible in some way to code an onMouseIn function that uncrops it while being hovered over, or when clicked on?
Any solution appreciated.
