Change "character spacing" of text in horizontal menu?

Character spacing can only be changed for text elements inside the WIX editor. See attached screenshot.

For a menu , there is no way to change the character spacing. The setting is missing. This is why we have added our menu as buttons and hide the header in the desktop version.

But now we have the problem, that we need to add a “sticky header” (a header that stays in position when scrolling down) and that seems only possible, if we work with the header in the desktop version. But working with the header, combined with text buttons (instead of menu), doesn’t give us the ability to add “active” menu item styling.

In short: Is there a way to change the character spacing for the text inside a menu?

We asked WIX support and they told us it’s not possible with WIX editor. That is why I’m asking in the corvid forum, maybe you have an idea?

Or if that is not possible, we could try to build the menu with text buttons inside the header. But then we have the question… Is it possible to mark the active page with a different color?

I was looking for the same thing. Contacted customer support and discovered some menus just don’t have that customization option while others do. I was trying customize one generated as a “theme menu.” Seems crazy to me that the full suite of customizable options wouldn’t be in every menu, but that’s the case. The customer service person was able to point me to a pre-built horizontal menu that has the character spacing options which, btw, is the first menu under the “Horizontal Menu” heading as you scroll down.
