Check out this video tutorial to find out how to add a sticky header to your site using Velo.

Helping users navigate your site to find the information or functionality they need is an important task and goal for anyone building something for the web. The way a site or web application is designed is, of course, a critical part of that process.

As a site is designed, there are numerous tools and navigation features that help point visitors in the right direction. Often, the first navigation element users will encounter is the header of your site and this element is a vital part of a site’s structure.

While designing a header, there are numerous design choices you have to make, but among the most important is deciding whether your header will be a static part of the design that scrolls along with the other content, or whether it will be a sticky header (also sometimes called a fixed header) that stays at the top of your browser window while the site content scrolls past it.

Sticky headers can help user navigate your site, since as they scroll through the content, the header remains available for them to use. This can provide easier access to the rest of the site and allow users to discover additional content or features.

Using Velo, you can create a sticky header for your own Wix site or web application. Adding a sticky header to your site is simple and takes advantage of Velo’s visual UI builder and only requires adding a few lines of code.

You can watch the video tutorial below for a detailed walkthrough of creating a sticky header.

You can register for Velo, or if you already have a Wix site click Dev Mode and click Turn on Dev Mode.
