Since I cannot access the existing code to manipulate elements, how do you recommend a designer that is new to coding(such as myself) add up to date features such as fancy buttons and text animation(other than what already exists in wix.com)? I have seen some amazing text animation in codepen but I am clueless as to where to even start. Thanks for any info!! :))

It’s just not possible) There are several predefined animations for buttons - Button - Velo API Reference - Wix.com
But,
You can’t change existing styles of buttons/texts/images in wix site… And you can’t add something from tutorial straight on site
