I am working with a developer who is trying to add revenue tracking to our website so we can track the performance of a google shop campaign. Please see conversations below between my developer and Wix rep - we have hit a hurdle and wonder if any one can advise how to progress or provide a work around:
Developer:
Our project is located on a domain https://www.myrtleandmaude.com/
We’d like to track the revenue via Google Adwords pixel which is placed on Thank you page.
The problem is that final summa is located in iframe and we are unable to reach it via .js because of cross-site security reasons. Please advise, is there any other options?

Yes, my developer saw this page and tried this method and more advanced as well.
But as I wrote before - he is unable to include to Pixel an amount to report about revenue, cause most of the thank you page located in iframe.
In example I have to run function “report_revenut(‘35.45’, ‘EUR’);” where 35.45 is amount of cart total which I have to take from thank you page itself.
Could you please provide a code sample how to get this “35.45” number?

Please visit the Wix Code forum here for a potential resolution to your issue. Otherwise, it is not possible to bypass the security in the iFrame to access this information. Wix Code forum may be able to provide a work around if one exists.

We will have this option using the track & analyze feature very soon. We will have full enhance eCommerce tracking so you can see all the data either in Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager. Only if it’s a Store user of course. I’ll keep you posted once it’s released.

Firstly note that the track & analyze feature is not related to Wix Code. I’ve talked to one of our specialists and he provided me with instructions of a workaround to solve this solution. If you have any further questions about it, I’m afraid that you would need to talk to Wix Support team as they know best about this product. If you already submitted a ticket about it, you can post the ticket number here and I can check its status for you with the support department.
These are the instructions:
Create a variable that will hold the ‘revenue’ provided by ‘Wix stores’ after a purchase was made. This variable will be equal to the total revenue gained from the purchase.
Create a new tag for Adwords conversion tracking and add the variable as the conversion value.
Add the conversion pixel in GTM as a new ‘Tag’ and connect it to the trigger from step 2. In the conversion value field, add the variable created in step 1.
Note: At the moment, only Wix Stores will send the purchase event. No other verticals are supported.
