10 Snapchat Accounts You Should Follow TODAY!

We at Wix have been encouraging small businesses to use Snapchat to engage with a younger audience. We know that if you can master creating a stunning website, you can master Snapchat for your business. First we showed you how to make the most of the app’s features, then went on to explain how brands are using Snapchat for their online marketing.

Now that Snapchat is an established social network, with over 150 million daily users, we wanted to show examples of who is thriving on the platform. We’ve compiled a list of 10 artists, celebrities and brands we believe you can learn a thing or two from. No, DJ Khaled isn’t here, but that’s only because we know you are probably already following his stories.  You might want to have a pen and paper handy because there’s a ton of inspiration coming your way.  Start with this list and get creative with your own Snapchat account!

Cyrene quit her job as a graphic designer for Verizon to do Snapchat full time. She gained a huge following for her creative art and storytelling, and her fans rave over her celebrity portraits & Disney collages. She is also the creator of The11thsecond.com, which was built to bring together Snapchat artists and give them a place to share their finger-drawn masterpieces. We follow Cyrene because she is always engaging with her audience in fun and exciting ways.

Mike’s beautifully drawn Snapchat stories are more like mini-movies. He masterfully exploits the app’s features to add visual effects and excitement. We watch Mike’s snaps because he inspired us with his ability to take his passion for art and make a career of it.

Shonduras has hundreds of thousands of Snapchat followers, and was the first influencer on the platform to land a brand deal. Chance the Rapper’s story is especially relevant for the fans looking for the opportunity to get an insider’s view of new music.  We’d follow Chance simply for the music but he’s also charming and welcomes good vibes. It’s the trifecta!

Former Governor of California, Mr. Universe, Terminator

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives the fans what they want in his Snapchat stories and consequently some are calling his account ‘the greatest of all time.” The Govenator is now a social-media star and is Snap-ready at galas, while traveling the world and he’s even been known to drop one of his famous movie quotes a time or two.

Gary Vaynerchuk (garyvee)
CEO, Serial Entrepreneur, Investor

Gary runs one of the hottest digital agencies, VaynerMedia. Known for being ahead-of-the-game, he was an early investor in Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Uber, and Birchbox. He is a serial entrepreneur, a New York Times bestseller and a master of all social media. He uses Snapchat to quickly update his followers on where he is and what he is working on. We follow Gary for his substantial discussions of business tactics.

Everlane has used Snapchat to help push their strategy of “radical transparency,” and this has led to major success for them on the platform. They are known for giving behind-the-scenes access to their stores, events and brand culture. We follow Everlane to watch their weekly “Transparency Tuesday” segment, where their followers can ask questions about the brand.

Fast Food Restaurant

Taco Bell knows what their followers want and deliver it to them weekly. They air “Hack The Menu”  segments, which show customers how to order items that aren’t on their menu or have been previously discontinued. Earlier this year they used their account to announce the Beefy Crunch Burrito’s arrival in their restaurants. We follow Taco Bell to see a brand that is not afraid to have a little fun and let their inner goofball run free!

GrubHub (grubhub)
Food Delivery App

Grubhub uses Snapchat to interact directly with their audience. Not only do they use their account to keep their users aware of promotions and deals, they recently used the account to find an intern with “Snapchat Skillz.” We follow Grubhub for their surprise “Snapchat Hunts” where their followers can reply with doodles for free food and coupons!
