Great art deserves a wide audience. Wix is proud to offer artists of all genres a way to create beautiful online portfolios to present their art works to the public. All over the world, gifted painters, illustrators, sculptors, conceptual artists and other creatives make their own websites using Wix. As you’re about to see, the results are absolutely stunning.
This list contains 15 examples of the winning combination of beautiful art and excellent web design. These sites were created by Wix users from various countries and with various artistic training. What they all have in common is a professional and beautiful portfolio to show off their masterpieces.
This brilliant artist from London transforms photographs into lively paintings, maintaining their realist origin while adding a layer of creative interpretation with colors and perspective.
Genius illustrator Rebecca Miller portrays human emotions through playful imaginations of people, animals and everyday objects. Miller works with hand-painting as well as with digital tools to create her works which are filled with humor and irony.
Carole Thivolle, aka Nephyla, is a Paris-based illustrator and caricaturist with an impressive commercial and creative resume. Her works have a dream-like character that takes the viewer to the realm of the fantastic.
Taking cute to the level of mastery, Russian artist Nadiya Kushnir brings her lovely creations to life with bold colors, simple ideas and elaborate execution. She is an expert with various techniques and materials, which grants her immense freedom to articulate strange, funny and touching situations.
Jordy Farrell confesses to watching too many cartoons, but obviously this habit has done him only good. Inspired by the creative world of animation, his works portray a naive and child-like quality that really brings a smile to anyone’s face.
Multidisciplinary artist, Brad Albright is the talent behind many incredible album covers, toys, commercial designs, print art and more. Drawing from comics, abstract and psychedelic art, his work is multi-faceted.
Pop art lives on, and George Ioannou is one of the leading artists behind it. Ioannou offers his original take on the tradition of artistic production. His work combines artifacts that have been re-purposed, twisted and reborn as an innovative aesthetic statement.
Brazilian artist Asier Sancho Senosiain‘s works of art live in all dimensions – through his beautiful illustrations and designs as well as through the marvelous theater set designs that he is responsible for. There’s a touch of wonderful absurdity to his works that we find absolutely lovely.
Never shying away from controversial topics, South-African illustrator Charles Bongers puts his hands to work for his bold political statements. He is also a brilliant branding artist, with a rich portfolio of commercial work.
The contemporary cubism of Brazilian artist Alan Dendrich produces superb art. The artist’s loyalty to monochromatic palettes creates a stark visual statement filled with depth and boldness.
A collaborative endeavor of several artists, Line Art Studios produces illustration and animation works for a large variety of audiences – children, businesses, comic fans and more. Their works portray a similar wide spectrum of styles and ideas. It’s a feast for the eyes.
Don’t let the calmness mislead you. Mavis Smith’s work has deep tones that strike the viewer at unexpected moments. Smith’s paintings were the focus of several solo exhibitions, and we like to think of her online portfolio as one of these exhibitions.
Browsing through Magalhães’ portfolio is quite an experience. With his amazing skills, he is able to show just how creative 3D and animation art can be. We especially love how he plays with light and shadow to establish depth in his work.
Combining watercolor with computer graphics, Mister Lapin’s art takes many forms, including greeting cards, logos, children’s books, stickers and more. A combination of pop culture and childhood playfulness, it’s just as lovely as it sounds.
This Norwegian artist allows the landscape of her homeland to infuse her work with dreamy northern images. You easily fall in love with the Scandinavian mood that she so successfully creates in her art. We also very much impressed with her logo.

Are you thinking of making a website?
That was truly amazing. So much talent.
I have created a number of websites through your site and loved them all.
I am currently opening a business and creating a new site. I will be going through the ‘Pro’ version soon and buying my own domain.
Your up to date sites are truly exciting. thank you.
Awesome! Feel free to share the links to the site you created :)
Hi, Can you please let me know which template Rebecca Miller used? I am interested in making a website as a spot illustrator. Thank you so much.
Certainly! It’s this one: http://www.wix.com/website-template/view/html/1634
I would love to see a similar article with emphasis on artists that do mixed media, collage, assemblage… some of the more uncommon types of art. The websites for the illustrators and photographers above are wonderful for their content. It doesn’t seem to fit well for mixed media collage and assemblage, like what I do. It took me a really long time to decide on a template (a photographer template) and I had to change it up a lot… and I’m not sure that it still really works for me. Would love an article featuring successful website designs of other artists like me. The photographer and painter templates just don’t work well.
Appreciate the feedback, Liza! We’ll discuss it with the team.
Iteresting stuff. I have already created my Wix website, http://www.artjanetdavies.com but is there a way to make thumbnails which will enlarge when clicked on. I added magifying tool to 2 paintings but they are rather over magnified.
Hi Janet,
Nice site!
If you go to the Wix editor and click Add -> Gallery, you’ll see that one of the options is called Thumbnail. That should do the trick.
