Office life without pranks can be painful. We all need some mean and harmless fun to break the mundane routine of the workspace. If you’re serious about planning and executing pranks you’ll get the whole office laughing for an entire day, especially if you choose victims that can take it with stride.
Holiday Season is an ideal time for office pranks. Everyone is anxious to go on holiday and the atmosphere is getting lighter. If you want to give your colleagues a prank to remember, we collected 10 ideas for tricks that are slightly cruel but mostly hilarious. Take your pick!
The Mysterious Keyboard Prank: Make typing more interesting for your chosen victim by taping random stickers on the keyboard keys. You can use a colorful floral pattern (as seen in the example below), the secret characters from the Stargate film, or anything else that might make said victim especially frustrated.
The Possessed Printer Prank: Instead of clear white paper, insert to the printer tray a stack of paper on which you previously printed an alarming image. Perhaps a photo of this stingray? Every printing job sent to the office printer will become an unforgettable experience.
The Sticky TP Prank: Replace toilet paper in the office bathroom stalls with some duct tape. Creepy SAW doll illustration not essential but can definitely raise your prank up a notch.
The Vain Vending Machine: If you have a vending machine in your office, this prank will be gold. It will require some coordination with the machine technician. What you want to do is to replace the items in the machine with vanity images of your victim. Print some of the most embarrassing photos from their Facebook page and place them inside the machine as items to be sold. This prank is perfect for birthdays, promotions or last day at the office.
The Insect Trap Prank: Stir a fright in the kitchenette by cutting a messy hole out of a paper cup and leaving a note on it that warns bystanders of a creepy crawling insect that is trapped inside. Soon you’ll see all of staff standing on chairs.
Zip Tie Everything: Time to get creative and cruel. Zip tie everything in sight – but don’t forget also to entrap the scissors! Some people just want to watch the world burn…
The Creative Chair Prank: Let your chosen victim come to work and discover that instead of the hydraulic office chair they cherish so much, he or she now has a dental chair, a 1950’s blowout seat, a unicycle or any other type of crazy seating situation.
The Blast from the Past Prank: Pay a visit to all local pawn shops in your vicinity and replace the tech equipment in your office with vintage versions – old phones, typewriters, ancient clocks, etc.
The Cheetorama Prank: This one is quite brutal and very messy, but that’s why it’s so good. Cover the victim’s workspace entirely with Cheetos and let them eat their way into their desk. It ain’t easy being cheesy, you know.
Emails from the Future Prank: Remember in “The Office” when Jim pranks Dwight with faxes from “future-Dwight”? Same thing only easier – all you need to do is set up a fake email address, send alarming emails to the victim and get your colleagues to cooperate by realizing the prophecies on the spot.
The Mouse Control Prank: When your colleague is not looking, connect a wireless mouse to their computer and wait patiently for your opportunity to freak them out. You can write them personal messages, play music, and do anything that will make them believe their computer is controlled by aliens or ghosts. Here’s a cute video demonstration:
